Looks exciting – has elements of other great picaresque (sp?) adventures

It is really good. Exciting, suspenseful, thoughtful. Reminscent of London or Conrad. Picaresque in a modern sort of way. Found it by doing a search of Edith Grossman translations on Amazon. Very happy with this discovery…
